We celebrate Elevate's initiative to create an environment at their Film Festival to honor heart and mind opening, conscious cinema. Showcasing a sample of their favorites along with ours at 2012 QL is a gift for all!
Created by production company ELEVATE Films, ELEVATE Film Festival is the fastest growing film festival in the world. While challenging the international film community to produce works of social and global importance, ELEVATE is the first film festival to combine a filmmaking competition with a mandate to produce socially conscious films. Emerging and professional filmmakers from around the world are given an assignment—a commercial, a music video, a documentary, or a narrative—to complete in seven days. They are then challenged further to produce a film of inspirational content that raises consciousness, engages the heart, and elevates the human spirit.
ELEVATE Film Festival unites the world’s biggest hearts, greatest minds and most creative spirits in an effective movement of social transformation expressed through film and new media. Growing from 500 attendees in 2005 to an audience 7,000 in 2008, ELEVATE has become one of the world’s prominent agents of change, by producing, showcasing and distributing inspiring and life-affirming creative works. Egyptian Healing Rods

R. Grant Ramey
R. Grant Ramey, PhDc founded Embodiment in 1982. The prelude to this teaching began one day when Grant, at age 26, was on the beach reflecting on the pleasure of surfing. In an instant all the stress and pain in his body he had been denying was revealed. For relief, Grant knew he needed to change the way he moved through life. He let go of vigorous exercise and practiced many somatic methods, such as Hatha Yoga, Tai Chi, and Awareness Through Movement. Grant got bodywork, became a certified Rolfer, and then finally found the most effective practice: The Form. However, none of these methods fully released his body constrictions. Grant realized, for true ease of movement, he had to begin from totally relaxed stillness. He discovered the ideal body position for rapid relaxation and hence invented the EMBODI-CLOUD™.

Raw Veganism is the fastest growing food and cultural movement on the planet. Not only does this way of life keep us more directly in touch with body rhythms and nature, raw veganism is also "the sustainable feast." Thousands are finding their health improves when they add more fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds to their diet; and typically, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits ensue as well. ALEX ARNDT BAND
Alex Arndt presents folksy alt-rock that reveals both compassion and energy, distinctiveness and accessibility. His songs show the heart of a thoughtful songwriter that doesn't self-censor and who believes in emotional honesty. The music is full of melody and hooks, tempered with intelligence and unique creativity. This music shows how songs can be both pop-friendly yet imbued with artistic integrity. Alex will share his awesome music and will be available to chat at 2012 Quantum Leap on his view on the planetary shift, veganism and how we can all 'wake up!'
EMRYS HANLEY
A few years, many songs, and several break-ups later, Emrys met musician and producer Dale Ockerman, who had played for ten years with the Doobie Brothers. The two worked together to record an album of Emrys's original songs. "Emrys", newly released, features vocals and guitar by Emrys, along with Ockerman on guitar and keyboards. As producer, Dale brought in nearly 20 world-class musicians to collaborate on the project including Tiran Porter (Doobie Bros.), Richard Bryant (Doobie Bros.), Vince Black (Peter Tosh, Black Uhuru), Barry Phillips (Ravi Shankar, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr), and 2009 Grammy nominee Tammi Brown (Stanley Jordan). Emrys has opened for Michael Franti and Spearhead, as well as the Indigo Girls (both at the Fillmore in San Francisco), Jaya Lakshmi of Lost at Last, and Dale Ockerman. He's performed at Topanga Earth Day (featuring Pato Banton and the Waybacks), and The Harmony Festival 30th Anniversary (featuring Damien Marley, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Paula Cole, Arrested Development).
JOSEPH "PANHEAD" PECK
An original and dynamic percussionist and composer, Joseph has performed and recorded with an array of amazing artists such as Scott Weiland, Cyndi Lauper, MG3, Cipes & the People, John Ballinger, The Shival Experience, the Survivor House Band (CBS – reality show), Steel and Strings and his own ensemble Panhead Music Project to name a few. Currently Joseph continues to resides in Los Angeles, California were he is working as a producer, composer, and, most notably, steel drum performance artist. Panhead is well known in our community as the steel drum player for Cipes and The People and Conscious Revolution. His music is mesmerizing!

This room is a FREE room available on a first come first served sign up basis during the event.
If you are registered as a group to come, (4 or more) OR A vendor you can have use of this room in 30 minute increments to come together with your group, do meditation, integrate your practices with those being learned at the event, plan how to bring this energy home, etc!
